How to...

Pick A Melon

Watermelon - look for a firm melon that sounds hollow when knocked. It should have smooth unblemished skin.
Honeydew - Pick the melon with freckling on the rind, that indicates sweetness.
Canteloupe - Ripe ones should have a sweet scent and give slightly when pressed.

Grocery Time Savers

A few tips to making shopping easier.
Keep inventory of your most used pantry items. Use a dry erase board and put an X next to an item when you use the last. A magnetic frig list will do the trick also. As you run out of an item, jot it on your list.
Shop during off hours. My favorite time is early mornings. Mostly avoid weekday evenings and weekend afternoons.
When unpacking items, group according to where they are located in your home. (fridge, freezer, pantry)
